Michael Maxwell is a native of Boston, MA. He balances his busy schedule between creative pursuits of both acting and modeling. Mike has appeared in a variety of lead roles in various independent films.  Michael has appeared in lead and principle roles in films that have screened at the LA International Short Film Festival, Boston Comedy and Movie Festival, Boston Underground Film Festival, Attention Deficit Film Festival, End of the Summer Film Festival, Cookies Short Film Screening, Cinemaslam Film Festival, and the Redstone Film Festival. Michael has also appeared at open screenings at the Zeitgeist Gallery, Coolidge Corner theaters, and various internet based film sites.

Michael is a member of the main ensemble of players appearing in various short comedies produced by the Massachusetts based production company Midnight Chimes Productions. His list of credits with Midnight Chimes include: Love Bytes, Celebrity Cheeters, Witness Protection Program, Restive Estates, Mask of the Ninja, Paisonics, Feccinater, Bigo TV, Armageddon It, and Latex the Movie.

The Midnight Chimes Production staff has also cast Michael in their feature film, American Family, which is currently in pre-production and slated to begin principle photography in 2005. This summer, Michael begins principle photography on OxRock Production's much anticipated dramatic thriller, Possessions.  In the feature, Michael portrays Matthew, a religious man who researches a terminally ill, incapacitated little girl who claims to have made a deal with a powerful Spirit for a short and fleeting taste of normalcy.  Is all as it seems, or is Matthew just one part of a larger, ultimately unknowable plan.

Michael has also appeared in his share lead roles in student films such as Sneeze for Death, Cough for Life; Foul Play; Congratulations; The Letter; Swordfight; DMV Tyrant; and Blind Assassin, as well as smaller supporting roles in Indie and student films Germ of a New Insanity, Naiveté, and The Interview.
