I ran into a little snafu with the DVD production, some severe compatibility issues.  I'll be working those out throughout the week and resuming mass-production once I got the kinks worked out.

In the meantime, I have submitted Stalemates to the Redstone Film Festival. Wish us luck on getting selected!

The Stalemates DVD has been completed! Mass-production has begun, but I will need updated information from all the wonderful cast and crew that helped bring this project to life so I know where to mail them to. I will be up in Boston this week from Monday until at least Wednesday to submit Stalemates to the Redstone Film Festival. While there, I will be handing out DVD copies to the people I run into.  I'll only have 20 copies with me this trip so you can e-mail me at the address below to make arrangements, or those who still have my cell phone number can try calling me. If I don't get to see you, then be sure to e-mail your mailing address.

Welcome to the new home of the Stalemates website.  I hope to use this home for this and all my future projects.  I'd like to thank Chris Sebes for helping set it all up. Having this new space has allowed me to fix a lot of old bugs but has also introducted a few new ones so please be patient until I can patch up all the holes.  In the meantime, enjoy the new trailer available for streaming download under the MEDIA section.

Lots of news to share:  First and foremost, I have approved the music score and final sound mix for STALEMATES and it sounds incredible.  With that, the film is completely finished!

Secondly, STALEMATES has been entered in the New England Student Film Festival, the Rhode Island International Film Festival, and the L.A. Shorts Fest.  Acceptances into festivals, as well as future entries, will be announced here.  Wish us luck!

As you can see, the website is undergoing a major facelift.  Certain links will still take you to old parts of the site until the redesign filters through.

While I'm working on that, my music composer is diligently driving away at finishing the musical scores for both our films.  From what I have heard already, it's going to be great.  After that, we mix the sound and it's done!

With the credits in and speed effects added, the running time is now about 19 minutes.  The sound effects need a little work but we're definitely in the final stretch.

November 30, 2004

I've completed the rough cut of the movie.  It currently runs around 17 minutes.  I hope to have a screenshot link soon so that you can see some images.

The next step is to get this approved by professors and move towards the final cut of the movie, which includes all the fancy special effects if necessary.  From that edit, I'll see about exporting some small clips for download.

I'm proud to announce that all principle photography is in the can!

I cannot be grateful enough to the kind and generous people who've dedicated time and hard work for this project. The cast and crew did a remarkable job, and I will do my best to make sure the finished edited product reflects that. As I edit, I plan to put up some sample clips and screenshots. Keep an eye out!

Sorry for the belated update, but here's what's going on.  We have finished 90% of principal photography and are now looking to finish the last 10% this weekend, Oct.16-17.

The footage we have so far is looking fantastic. I'll put up some screenshots when they're available.  I'm also hoping to update obsolete portions of this website within the next couple of weeks. Look forward to it!

Thank you to all the talented people who attended our auditions. Out of a wide pool of actors, we had to select only three. It was certainly no easy task, and we thank you all for making it so.

We are now fast moving into the next stages of production, mainly securing locations, designing the complete fight sequences, and fleshing out the script some more.  In the meantime, we are also helping out our classmates on their thesis films. If any of them are still casting, we will pass along info from our auditions.
